A Word From Our Dean

Welcome to the School of Theology

On behalf of our entire faculty and student community, I warmly welcome you to the CIU School of Theology — a place where faith and intellect, prayer and study, mission and mentorship meet to form servants of the Gospel for our time. To study theology here is to enter a long, living tradition of asking the deepest questions about God, humanity and the world — and to do so in the company of those who walk the journey with you.

Rooted in the charism of the Consolata Missionaries, our school exists to prepare mission agents who can serve the Church and society with wisdom, integrity, and a listening heart. Whether you are preparing for pastoral ministry, academic research, or community leadership, you will find a programme tailored to your calling and a community ready to walk with you.

An Intercultural Community

Our students come from across Africa, Europe and beyond, and our intercultural setting is one of our greatest gifts. Learning theology alongside brothers and sisters from different cultures, languages and pastoral contexts widens the horizon of every student and prepares us for the genuinely global mission of the Church today.

Faith and Reason in Dialogue

Our programmes integrate scripture, systematic theology, pastoral practice and mission studies, while also nurturing the spiritual lives of students through prayer groups, retreats and personal spiritual direction. We believe theology must be both rigorous and prayed — thought through, lived out, and offered in service.

An Open Invitation

If you sense a call to a deeper study of the faith, to ministry, to mission, or simply to understand the great questions more fully, we invite you to study with us. Come not only to learn theology, but to be formed by it — in lectures, seminars, prayer, and the long, patient work of formation.
