A Word From Our Dean

Welcome to the School of Philosophy

On behalf of the entire School of Philosophy, I warmly welcome you to a community where ideas matter and reflection shapes character. To study philosophy is to undertake one of the oldest and most rewarding intellectual journeys — the patient pursuit of truth, goodness and meaning — and we are privileged to walk that journey with our students.

Our programmes are built on a conviction that philosophy is not merely abstract; it is formative. It teaches us how to think clearly, argue charitably, listen attentively, and act with integrity in a complex world. Grounded in the Catholic intellectual tradition and inspired by the charism of the Consolata Missionaries, we form scholars who are at once rigorous and compassionate, prepared for the academy, the parish, the workplace and the public square.

An Intellectual Home

Our faculty bring decades of teaching and research experience and a genuine love for mentoring students. Whether your interest is metaphysics, ethics, logic, the history of philosophy, or contemporary debates in philosophy of religion and mind, you will find conversation partners here who will challenge and accompany you.

An Open Invitation

If you sense the pull of the great questions — What is real? What is good? What does it mean to live well? — we invite you to study with us. Come not only to read about philosophy, but to do philosophy — in seminars, dialogues, mentor sessions, and the long, patient work of writing.
